Gatsby Lamp awarded Red Dot Design 2020

Sometimes, in chaos and uncertainty, there is also room for good news. We have been awarded the Red Dot Design 2020 for the Gastby collection and, although it is not the best time for celebrations, we want to share this recognition with you.

The Gatsby lamp, designed by Ramón Esteve for Vondom, has been awarded at the Red Dot Design 2020 Awards; the most prestigious design competition in the world based in Essen (Germany). The collection recalls the Art Deco lighting and is based on the idea of creating an a surrounding atmosphere through a suggesting play of lights by means of the lamp’s surfaces, where the shape and sensations of engraved glass are reproduced with polycarbonate. In addition, it has autonomy and ability to adjust both light and color.

For more than sixty years, the Red Dot Award has been a benchmark that values the good design of companies and designers. True to the motto ‘In search of good design and innovation’, the selected cast of experts who are part of the jury have individually evaluated more than 6,500 products presented in this edition.
