Museros (Valencia) 2017 2100 m2 | 6400 m2 (nave)
Bvalve, Flow, Systems & Control is a company specialising in the manufacture of high quality control valves with more than twenty years of experience in this field. Accordingly, its new headquarters are intended to reflect the firm’s technological character.
The office building has been designed to be a tangible expression of the firm’s philosophy, being adapted to its work process and embodying the company’s values.
The complete building is composed of three parts with different uses: offices, showroom + labs, and factory building, linked and connected by a wide courtyard. This large garden, besides serving as a hinge element, creates an outdoor space that refreshes and lights the core of the headquarters.
It holds the access to the staff area and the overlaid, crossed views from inside across and through it embellish the space. There are some trees, several vertical gardens and a sheet of water in the courtyard.
Offices
The office area is placed in a completely renovated building, where only the structure has been reused. A new skin has been generated with a mirroring charcoal-grey curtain wall that presents a sophisticated look.
The work space reflects the ideas of openness and neutrality. The rooms have been arranged by departments with a predominance of transparency, white colours and grey hues. The main element of the work space is a sculptural staircase in charcoal grey and green colours, the corporative colours, that dominates the area.
Labs + Showroom
The research area and the showroom are placed on the other side of the courtyard, so there is a visual connection to the offices through the garden. Although there is an access from the office building through a walkway, there is also an independent access from the courtyard.
The showroom area has been designed as a dark box where a plane-shifting green line leads through the path, thus framing displays, screens and projections.
Factory
The factory building, also renovated, has a clean, neutral look. Both from the garden courtyard and the showroom, there are some windows for workers and visitors to observe the factory at work.
