The Family Mausoleum is conceived as a space to evoke the memory of generations past.
The space is defined by a sculptural structure composed of two arms converging at a point, creating an envelope that forms an open yet defined enclosure through the tension between solid and void.
A sense of sobriety was chosen as a guiding principle so that the simplicity of the forms could convey maximum expressiveness, where the joints of the large sheets of Corten steel create the symbol of the cross. The sepulchre, formed by columns and niches, is located underground to generate spaciousness and liberate the floor plan.
The oxidation of the Corten steel creates a crystallization that symbolizes eternity and the passage of time, complemented by a large granite slab that serves as an opening slab, providing access to the sepulchre.
