The jury of the selection that was defined on the bases has evaluated and chosen four finalists that will take part in the next stage of the Miami WallArt Project competition. Made by the Ramón Esteve Estudio workteam, Vondom and the directors of the contemporary art gallery Espai Tactel, assesses the work done by the chosen artists on two main fields: artistic quality and technical ability.B y G
B y G nace entre Valencia y Madrid. B y G es la suma de dos personas –Patricia Bolinches y Luis García-, de sus trayectorias profesionales y de su pasión por el papel. Para ellos el collage es lo que une y lo que separa. Es desubicar y descontextualizar. Es descubrimiento.
OKUDA SAN MIGUEL
Nacido en Santander y afincado en Madrid desde el año 2000. Licenciado en Bellas Artes por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Las estructuras geométricas y estampados multicolores se funden con cuerpos grises y formas orgánicas. Estas podrían catalogarse como Surrealismo Pop con una clara esencia de la calle.
SIXE PAREDES
Sixe Paredes es un artista catalán cuyo trabajo representa una de las referencias españolas más notables en cuanto a arte urbano se refiere. En su trabajo encontramos referencias a la biología, a la melancolía por la ciudad, al pasado como referente el presente y al tiempo como objeto mismo de estudio.
TOFER CHIN
Artista estadounidense con base en Los Ángeles. Tofer Chin traduce su obsesión por la geometría tanto en la fotografía como en la escultura o la pintura mural. En sus obras utiliza un lenguaje minimalista inundado de patrones y formas geométricas que dialogan con la percepción en un sentido dinámico.BYG
BYG was born between Valencia and Madrid. BYG is the addition of two people –Patricia Bolinches and Luis García-, their careers and their passion for paper. They believe that collage is merging and separation. It is delocation and decontextualisation. It is discovery.
OKUDA SAN MIGUEL
He was born in Santander but lives in Madrid since 2000. He holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Geometric structures and multi-coloured patterns melt with grey volumes and organic shapes. They could be labelled as Pop Surrealism with a street spirit.
SIXE PAREDES
Sixe Paredes is a Catalan artist and one of the most notable Spanish references concerning Street Art. His work contains references to biology, to a longing for the city, to the past as a reference for the present and to time as a subject for study.
TOFER CHIN
American artist based in Los Angeles. Tofer Chin captures his obsession with geometry in photographs as well as sculptures or mural painting. His works have a minimalistic language filled with geometric patterns and shapes that build a dynamic dialogue with perception.
