{"id":21686,"date":"2026-06-01T12:21:12","date_gmt":"2026-06-01T10:21:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ramonesteve.com\/?p=21686"},"modified":"2026-06-01T12:21:15","modified_gmt":"2026-06-01T10:21:15","slug":"interiors-and-projects-night-wdc-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ramonesteve.com\/en\/prensa\/noticias\/interiors-and-projects-night-wdc-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Design as a Sensory Experience in the World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last week, Ram\u00f3n Esteve took part in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/spainisin.com\/interiors-products-night\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/spainisin.com\/interiors-products-night\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Interiors &amp; Projects Night<\/a><\/strong>, an evening dedicated to Spanish design held at the <strong>Instituto Cervantes in Frankfurt<\/strong> as part of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/wdc2026.org\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026<\/a><\/strong> programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event brought together a curated selection of Spanish brands and professionals from the fields of <strong>furniture, lighting and ceramics<\/strong>, opening a dialogue around the role of materials, craftsmanship and design in the creation of contemporary spaces. Within this framework, Ram\u00f3n Esteve gave the lecture <strong>\"Design as a Sensory Experience: From the City to the Object.\"<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The talk proposed a reflection on <strong>architecture and design<\/strong> understood as a continuous experience capable of connecting scales, materials and ways of inhabiting space. Photographs by Inga Rose Fotografie.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout the lecture, Ram\u00f3n Esteve presented projects of different scales and programmes \u2014 including <strong>urban planning, healthcare architecture, heritage rehabilitation, residential architecture and product design<\/strong> \u2014 revealing a transversal vision in which architecture, interiors and objects form part of the same creative ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among the featured works were the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ramonesteve.com\/en\/architecture\/residential\/jubail-port\/\" data-type=\"architecture\" data-id=\"9775\">Jubail Port<\/a><\/strong> masterplan in Abu Dhabi, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ramonesteve.com\/en\/architecture\/healthcare\/viladecans-hospital\/\" data-type=\"architecture\" data-id=\"7060\">Viladecans General Hospital<\/a><\/strong>, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ramonesteve.com\/en\/architecture\/culture-and-education\/rodes-industrial-park\/\" data-type=\"architecture\" data-id=\"10689\">Rodes Industrial Complex<\/a><\/strong> in Alcoy, and residential projects such as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ramonesteve.com\/en\/architecture\/residential\/cottage-in-the-vineyard\/\" data-type=\"architecture\" data-id=\"233\">Cottage in the Vineyard<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ramonesteve.com\/en\/architecture\/residential\/clos-de-la-vila\/\" data-type=\"architecture\" data-id=\"20975\">Clos de la Vila<\/a><\/strong>. Photograph by Inga Rose Fotografie.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A central idea throughout the conference was the concept of an <strong>Integrated Design Experience<\/strong>, an approach in which every scale of the project remains connected: urbanism, architecture, interior space and object. A way of understanding design not as isolated disciplines, but as parts of a shared <strong>sensory and emotional experience<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The evening offered a space for exchange between different perspectives from the <strong>residential and contract sectors<\/strong>, consolidating a meeting point in Frankfurt around new ways of understanding interiors, materiality and the relationship between <strong>design, industry and craftsmanship<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To close the lecture, the idea of design as a continuous language was brought back to the centre: a language that moves from the urban scale to the object, from technical precision to sensory perception, and from material presence to the way spaces are ultimately lived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:150px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week, Ram\u00f3n Esteve took part in Interiors &amp; Projects Night, an evening dedicated to Spanish design held at the Instituto Cervantes in Frankfurt as part of the World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026 programme.
