{"id":23436,"date":"2026-10-01T12:28:28","date_gmt":"2026-10-01T10:28:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ramonesteve.com\/?p=23436"},"modified":"2026-10-01T12:30:59","modified_gmt":"2026-10-01T10:30:59","slug":"breakfast-with-luis-demano","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ramonesteve.com\/en\/prensa\/noticias\/breakfast-with-luis-demano\/","title":{"rendered":"Today We Had Breakfast With\u2026 Luis Demano"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last Friday, we welcomed illustrator and graphic designer <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/luisdemano.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Luis Demano<\/a><\/strong> to the studio. We also had the opportunity to learn more about another dimension of his work: his role as a researcher. Alongside his professional practice as a graphic designer, he is currently developing a book that analyses the impact of generative artificial intelligence on the creative sector and the so-called cultural industry, supported by a grant from the Ministry of Culture of Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was precisely this research that brought him to our studio. We discussed the different uses of artificial intelligence systems\u2014particularly generative AI\u2014and their applications. Many questions emerged during the conversation: How does generative AI actually work? Can AI be used in an ethical, or even harmless, way? And to what extent can a graphic work created using AI be considered plagiarism?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also looked at the history of these technologies and at how, as the tools have become more widely available, access to them has expanded considerably. We explored questions of competitiveness and the changes taking place within the creative sector, as well as the ways in which the sector itself is being transformed by the use of artificial intelligence\u2014whether through practices that may be considered ethical or otherwise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another topic we addressed was the current debate surrounding this technology and the ways in which it ultimately affects society, particularly in light of the significant differences in legislation across countries and regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All in all, we enjoyed a very pleasant lunch filled with a wide range of reflections and perspectives. Discussing how this \"new\" technology works, and developing a deeper understanding of it, can help us approach it with greater awareness and a more critical perspective, while also allowing us to better understand its possibilities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last Friday, we welcomed illustrator and graphic designer Luis Demano to the studio.
