Casa El Portet
The Portet house is located on a narrow and elongated plot in a residential area of Moraira. It has distant views of the sea, through a wooded area.

The poetics of space

The linearity of the plot directly conditions the geometry of the project, composed of a set of prisms of different dimensions that are attached displaced, following the directionality of the plot, so that it is closed to the adjoining houses and opens to its own garden.

"The different volumes slide with respect to each other with the intention of creating the connection between interior and exterior in the separations, generating greater spatial richness, lighting and ventilation, and to mark the independence between the different uses without losing the continuity between them." Ramón Esteve

Breaking the box

The lower parts have a single floor, and contain the most public uses of the house, such as the living room, dining room or kitchen, whose views overlook the garden and pool through a large overhanging porch. The upper parts have two floors, with private uses and more limited rooms on the upper level, such as the bedrooms.

"The great background scenery is the garden, whose space is appropriated by the house, shooting its dimension". Ramón Esteve

In the central area, a double-height piece gathers the access and the distributor, standing out from the rest of the prisms, and marking the entrance through its materiality; a robust stone wall that gives the access a larger size and scale.

Perfect mimicry

The exterior spaces and the urbanization are configured with the same approach as the built elements, so that the project mixes the exterior strips and vegetation with the pieces of the house, merging the house with the immediate landscape.
